Made by the Swedish glass maker Eda Glasbruk, Floral Sunburst (their name was Tusenskona) is found mostly in vases but an occasional bowl shows up. The pattern is indented into the glass rather than raised. It consists of a floral element with three fronds of leaves extending from it. Between each of the floral elements are a fan-type design and a multipoint star. Above left are 8-inch and 7-inch vases in the typical shaping. In blue, these sold for $500 and $600, respectively, in 2000. The cupped-in version, 6 1/2 inches tall, also in blue, sold for $450 in 1998. On the right is a rare example with a spittoon shaped top, in blue, that brought $1,900 in 2001. Above right is a blue Jardiniere-shaped bowl, 5 inches across and 3 1/2 inches tall. It sold in 2005 for $115. A similar piece in marigold sold in 2008 for $30.
