About Tulip and Cane
The original Imperial name for this pattern was #9. Made in crystal before carnival glass production, there are several iridized shapes. The compote was advertised as a ‘footed jelly’; marketing was geared to the uses at the time. In the 1970’s the goblet was reproduced in a cobalt blue color and is marked with an IG. The reported shapes include:
• Bowls (see bowl-tulipcane)
• Compotes ( (see compote-tulipcane)
• Glasses (4 sizes) (see glasses-tulipcane)
• Nappy(handled) (see nappy-tulipcane)
