We bought the chop plate at a Dolores Sage auction; I believe Lincoln Land. I know that as the plate has a Dolores Sage sticker. It was called a chop plate, but I questioned that as it has an inset ring in the center of it. An inset ring is so you can set another piece on it and it won’t slide about. So I consider it an under plate. But an under plate to what. Well a reprint of Imperial catalogs showed me that a salad bowl sat on this 10 1/2 inch plate. On Ebay this week, the 8 inch bowl came up and I bought it on January 22, 2021. The bowl showed up today, Sunday January 24th. It was shipped from New Jersey to Connecticut. The bowl and the plate are a perfect match of clambroth.
