Ingrid Spurrier sent us these pictures of 3 marigold Pinecone plates. They are representative of the different types of edges found: the sawtooth version and the scalloped sawtooth version.
The most interesting difference may be the back patterns – the one with the scalloped sawtooth edge has a plain back. The sawtooth edge versions have a wide panel (with star base) and a very scarce Orange Tree back pattern.
It’s always fun to find something different! Ingrid told us she saw a bowl once with the Orange Tree back and ‘should have bought it’.
You now have something special to keep an eye out for – maybe you’ll catch the one that got away!
