About Shell and Sand
This pattern can be found in bowls and plates. All have a plain exterior, a sawtooth edge and are collar based (the inside of the base may be plain or with a diamond like pattern with a star in the middle). The bowls range from approx 7″ to 8 1/2″ across and about 3″ high, and will have an edge treatment that is either flared or 8 ruffle. The plates are about 8 1/2″- 9 1/2″ in diameter. It differs from Imperial’s Shell pattern with the addition of the stippling (i.e. Sand).
